While “Guardians of the Galaxy” has all the thrills and laughs you’d want in an adventure film, it also tells a story through five unlikely characters who evolve into the guardians of the galaxy through selfless acts for a noble cause—saving the galaxy.

The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of an unlikely team of five selfish yet likeable characters. Team leader Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) steals a powerful orb with mysterious powers that everyone is seeking for different reasons. The evil Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), Thanos (Josh Brolin) and Korath want the orb to rule the galaxy while Nova Prime (Glenn Close) and Corpsman Dey (John C. Reilly) want the orb to bring peace to the galaxy and protect everyone. Thrown into the mix is The Collector (Benicio del Toro).

With the rest of the universe seemingly against them, this mismatched bunch of outcasts decide to work together led by Peter Quill (Chris Pratt). You’ll love Rocket, the antisocial and satirical raccoon (Bradley Cooper) along with his unlikely best friend Groot (Vin Diesel) who is a giant, walking sentient tree. They are joined by Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) who is seeking revenge against the evil Ronan for killing his family. Ironically, the beautiful Gamora (Zoe Saldana) who happens to have been raised an orphan by the evil Ronan is seeking her own redemption.
