Former co-host of ABC’s “The View” Sherri Shepherd has been a hot topic this year. Talk about irony.

While Sherri Shepherd’s divorce from husband Lamar Sally has finally come to a close, her responsibility to the couple’s surrogate child, is only beginning.

Lamar Sally Jr, now 10 months old, will reportedly receive $4,100 per month until his 13th birthday, at which time, Shepherd will be required to increase the child support payments to $4,600 per month.

If you recall, last year Shepherd entered into a legal battle with her husband, over the financial responsibility and legitimacy of the child being her own.

There was some additional evidence put on the record involving some video clips involving Ms. Shepherd,” Craig Bluestein, a legal representative for the baby, told PEOPLE of the judge’s decision to hold Shepherd responsible.

Bluestein cited a clip of Shepherd “expressing excitement over her and Lamar going to have a baby through the help of a surrogate carrier with no genetic connection.

While the divorce is now officially settled, Sherri Shepherd is expected to file a fraud claim against Sally, and should she win the case, she will no longer be required to continue paying child support, no matter the age of Lamar Jr.

Additionally, should Sally bring any of the embryos he shared with Shepherd to term, she will not be financially responsible for the children. Shepherd has already requested that the embryos be destroyed.

They say if you lay down with dogs, you wake up with fleas. In Sherri’s case, she woke up with an unwanted surrogate child and a $4,000 monthly bill. The drama isn’t over yet!
