The U.S is facing a sexually transmitted disease epidemic with reported cases of Chlamydia, a common infection, rising to record levels.
2014 saw a 3% rise in reported cases of Chlamydia, a 5% rise in cases of Gonorrhea and a 15% jump in the most severe form of Syphilis. While the rise in syphilis infections was mostly seen in gay and bisexual men, chlamydia and gonorrhea infections, which can cause infertility in women if not treated with antibiotics, were mostly found in people between the ages of 15 and 25.
Even though annual STD screening is highly recommended for sexually active women under the age of 25, many do not get tested, and therefore remain undiagnosed and without treatment.

So there it is folks, Tinder, Grindr, OkCupid, and so many more dating sites, may have seemed like a great way to meet someone and find love or simply fun, but now it’s actually more of an open invitation to contracting a STD, than anything else.
I for one, will not be participating and neither should you.
Is a spontaneous hookup with the latest cutie you decided to swipe right to, really worth you no longer being able to have babies? Ladies and gentlemen, there’s a wonderful thing called masturbation that will keep you infection free and just as happy, if not happier in the long-run.
Also, you should keep in mind that apps like Tinder and Grindr, are all about profit and could care less about the STD rates amongst their users. If you’ve used the apps, you know there’s no criteria to pass to ensure users aren’t infected and their general purpose is for hookups.
Might want to think twice before dropping those boxer briefs and panties. How’s that little jingle go: “Might be bugs on the rest of you mugs, but there ain’t no bugs on me!”
