Jail Time for Apollo Nida

Apollo Nida has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for his involvement in a mail, wire and bank fraud. The whistleblower also spilled the beans on his Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars. His snitching ways did earn him leniency from the Feds, and it turned out to be the only silver lining in the entire ordeal.

What Next for Apollo?

According to various legal experts, it is highly unlikely that Apollo will have to serve the entire duration of his jail time. His legal team, The Cochran Firm, implored for leniency and claimed that the pre-sentencing report was full of felonies that Apollo had already served. Apollo had earlier served 5 years in prison before joining the cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Prior to the judge’s decision, Apollo’s lack of remorse prompted the federal prosecutor to request the judge for maximum punishment.

Apollo Nida was released from jail back in 2008, and it doesn’t look like he has learned from his mistakes. After his release, he jumped at the opportunity of marrying reality TV star, Phaedra Parks. The couple has 2 children together. This latest setback could prompt Phaedra to cut Apollo Nida loose. After all, a criminal father could potentially turn out to be a bad influence on the kids.
