Columbus Short Blames TMZ for His Faltering Career (Video)

Columbus Short gave his two cents worth in a recent interview with Dish Nation and blamed TMZ.com for playing an atrocious role in damaging his career and destroying his family. The former ‘Scandal’ actor said, My character has been assassinated, unjustly. I feel like, (gay TMZ founder) got the proverbial hard-on for me or something because he was attacking me for no reason. TMZ is making all that money, but it is blood money to me. I really believe it, because you’re destroying peoples families.

When Columbus Short was arrested in February for ostensibly beating his estranged wife, Tanee McCall, he was getting all the attention in the world from TMZ. The tabloid put him under the spotlight and disclosed his legal problems and underlying issues with McCall. According to Columbus, TMZ obtained all the dirt on him from McCall.

Columbus said, My ex tended to believe that the police department was like her security guards or something.

The man also defended NFL player, Ray Rice, who faced a lot of flak after a video of him punching his wife in a casino elevator was published by TMZ. Columbus spoke on the matter, My first Instagram I said, I stand by Ray Rice. I said what he did was absolutely wrong. However, what TMZthe point is TMZ. I have a lot against TMZ. We are fallible. Men, we are fallible creatures, mankind. And, I think everybody deserves a second chance, everybody deserves a chance to get it right.

He added, TMZ being the judge and jury, and the executioner of somebodys career is ridiculous to me.
