The pre-VMAs party hosted by Chris Brown at 10 AK in West Hollywood witnessed major violence on August 24. Gun shots were fired and Suge Knight, the Death Row Records founder, found himself on the receiving end of 6 shots.
Chris Brown the Target?
If the claims of the witnesses are true, it is understood that Chris Brown was the primary target. Katie Clendon, an eyewitness, mentioned on her Twitter, “Literally can’t believe what I just witnessed. Someone tried to fire shots at Chris Brown at 1 Oak. Speechless.” Chris’s rep told HollywoodLife.com, “Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album X, during which an incident occurred. This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event. He has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation.” According to TMZ, the incident took place in the wee hours-around 1:30 am while the party was in full swing. The vicious attack critically injured two other people as well.
According to reports, Suge Knight is currently undergoing surgery and is expected to make a recovery. TMZ also reported that the party goer was rushed to the hospital only after he made his way out of the club, and alerted the cops. Trouble seems to follow him wherever he goes. Suge was behind the wheels when rapper, Tupac, was shot dead in 1996. Also during Kanye West’s pre-VMAs party in 2005, Suge had to feel the agony brought forth by a bullet lodged in his leg.
Black Eyed Peas member Apple de Ap, model Tyson Beckford and Robert Richard were also at the event and came through it unscathed. This life altering ordeal guarantees to leave permanent scars to those who attended the event.
