There was a bright moment in the otherwise unbearably boring 2015 Billboard Music Awards. Staged in Las Vegas on Sunday, the Billboard Music Awards brought a certain sigh of relief to many people and restored faith in humanity when the Jenner sisters got the biggest crowd response; the responses were boos though. Even the performances of global stars such as John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj weren’t able to draw such a response from the crowd. Were they not aware of the fact that they were kind of universally hated? The booing occurred when the Jenner sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, went on stage to introduce their brother-in-law, Kanye West.
There were some cheers as well, but those cheers were quickly overpowered by the deafening chorus of boos from the crowd in the upper decks. We must give credit to the Jenner sisters though as they remained professional throughout. Kylie Jenner, 17, did the talking and Kendall Jenner, 19, only cut in at the end to call out Kanye West. Kylie said, “We’re honored to introduce this great artist, a friend, an inspiration, a brother and now a doctor.” Kendall concluded the intro, “Ladies and gentleman, Kanye West!”
