R&B Diva Angie Stone was recently taken into custody in Dekalb County, Georgia on Monday, March 9, for assaulting her daughter, Diamond, after a heated altercation. Angie Stone, 53, was charged with domestic aggravated assault.
It was unfortunate that her daughter had to be on the receiving end of her wrath. Reports suggest that Diamond provoked her mother after ostensibly throwing the first punch. Understandably, things started spiraling downwards when Angie tried to defend herself. Several reports indicate that Angie Stone used a metal stand to hit her daughter. The hit resulted in Diamond losing several teeth. Luckily, a family friend stopped the fight from escalating any further.
Angie claimed that she realized her mistake of lashing out at her daughter almost immediately after hitting her on the face. She also made claims that her daughter came after her even when she tried to flee away from the scene.
So, how did this vicious fight start? Well, it seems like the altercation started over Angie telling Diamond to clean up after her children and getting them under control. And you thought you had family problems! This ruckus sounds like a scene from a hip-hop version of the classic TV sitcom” The Brady Bunch”.
While Mama Angie was booked for obvious reasons, it looks like the police have been lenient on Diamond, releasing her without pressing charges.
