50 cent appeared on St. Louis’ Hot 104.1 FM last week to finally talk about, drum roll please… business. Of course, all the things we don’t want to hear about when the man filed for bankruptcy earlier this month. But it’s good to know he’s back on his grind. Gotta pay off those debts, right?
While on the radio show, 50 cent talked about his role in the movie Southpaw. attributing his casting to LaLa Anthony, who requested that 50 put in a good word for her with the director so she could get a part. Instead, he ended being cast as Jake Gyllenhaal’s on-screen best friend, Jordan Mains. Thanks, LaLa!
But the most interesting omission came when 50 started talking about his hit show, Power. He touched on how Lee Daniels’ show, Empire, piggybacked off Power‘s marketing and success by using similar artwork and language. While he didn’t blame the actors or Daniels in particular, he did coyly say it was likely a corporate decision. Hmm…
50 also hinted at the possibility of a main character on Power being killed off this season. He didn’t go into detail or leave any cliffhangers so you’ll have to watch the rest of the season to find out who it is!
After all that money he reportedly owes, of course he isn’t going to tell us. C’mon 50!
Here’s a few other things 50 cent said about Drake vs. Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Bill Cosby, and so many more:
